Brunch at Great Mapled was so delicious. These bacon maple doughnuts were my favorite. Loved the combination of the saltiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the maple icing. They were made fresh to order, still very warm…..mmmm!!!
This smoked brisket hash was on point! Had very robust flavors with roasted potatoes, peppers and onions!
Happened to be in town during Spring Trainng. Padres VS Dodgers, my first MLB game!
These Spicy Garlic Wings from OB Noodle House was the second best thing I ate in San Diego, probably the best wings I’ve ever had. After I got home I tried to find the recipe online to replicate it. I found a clip of them making it on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives and it was so complex that after I buy all the ingredients needed and put forth the effort, it would be cheaper and easier to hop in the car and drive a few hours to get them. They’re definitely worth the drive. The garlic flavor with just enough spice coating a fresh juicy wing….my mouth is watering as I write this! Oh how I miss you wings!!!
Now the Pho was a little too plain jane for me. I was expecting for the broth to have more flavor.
Let me tell you how much I underestimated this fried rice from OB Noodle House. I didnt even take a pic if it while it was on the plate. I started eating it and couldn’t stop. This is a pic of it at the bottom of my take home carton. Hands down the best thing I ate in San Diego and the best fried rice I’ve ever had. It had homemade sausage, shrimp and chicken. Soooo flavorful!
Great seats on Day 2 of Spring Training Padres vs Dodgers
Tacos are my favorite food, but I was sadly disappointed at Salud. They tasted like they were soaked in beer, and I don’t like beer. The tortillas are made fresh but they were floating in so much grease that it made them soggy.
I can’t visit the pacific ocean without eating seafood. The chorizo and clams dish at the Waterfish grill had just enough broth for my crusty fresh bread to sop up. Oh and their asiago cheese bread you get when you first sit down…amazing!!
Started off with a fresh tangy and sweet kale salad with apples and raisins tossed in a lemon vinegarette at the Kettner Exchange
Their shrimp garlic noodles were buttery, garlicky and sweet from the shrimp, nom nom.
